Michael completed the Acorn bike ride on Saturday 11th May in just under 3.5 hours, a fantastic time and for a great charity. Tour de France next!
The seventh Acorn 100k Sponsored Bike Ride continued the tradition of raising tens of thousands of pounds for the two causes which Acorn supports – research into scleroderma disease at Leeds General Infirmary and for people with dementia and their carers in the Ripon and Harrogate area.
Last year’s Bike Ride raised over £32,000 with 560 cyclists taking part.
The 100k Bike Ride is fully marshalled and takes a circular route starting in Bishop Monkton, near Harrogate and continuing through Boroughbridge to Easingwold and Sherrif Hutton.
