….Our two latest clients are both based within minutes of the Blubberhouses showroom. Michael has recently completed a stone cottage renovation just down the road – a stunning four bedroom centuries old cottage which he has brought up to date with a complete home finish throughout, working sympathetically with its history and character. Ensuites have been added to each bedroom and hand finished bespoke walk in wardrobes work perfectly with fine antique furniture pieces in the bedrooms. Downstairs incorporates an office using Giellesse storage systems, large beamed living space and kitchen/utility room.
Michael works closely with his clients during the design thought processes, through to installation and overseeing the entire project to final sign off. He hand picks some of the most skilled trades people in Yorkshire to work with him and pays fine attention to detail, from frequently cleaning up at the end of the day to hanging client’s paintings!
As the final touches were being made to our cottage conversion – by pure co-incidence – the new owner of a neighboring barn approached then appointed Michael to undertake an assignment to return his traditional barn conversion into a stunning contemporary living space. This project is now in full swing and Michael is currently sourcing bespoke Italian designed furniture and accessories to client requirements including a sofa from Verzelloni, rugs from Karpeta, wardrobes from Giellesse, a stunning kitchen from Effeti and many bespoke pieces to fit into those awkward spaces.
Starting his career as a furniture designer maker has given Michael the training and experience to work within all aspects of home design and development.
We hope the Blubberhouses client upsurge will continue!! …
